The latest two events at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Europe saw two players come full circle to claim their first bracelets. In Event #9, Amir Mozaffarian, runner-up in Event #6, captured his first bracelet, while Patrick Bueono, who last competed in a WSOP Bracelet event in 2008, emerged victorious in Event #10. Below are the highlights of Events #9 and #10 of the 2024 WSOP Europe.
2024 WSOP Europe Event #9: €1,100 Mystery Bounty Recap
Event #9: €1,100 Mystery Bounty drew an entry field of 515 players, exceeding the €300,000 guarantee with €484,100 prize pool. The six-figure prize pool was distributed among the 78 finishers, and several bracelet winners made it to the money, including Gabi Livshitz (23rd), Fabio Peluso (22nd), and Tobias Peters (15th).
The event saw a new name etching his name into the bracelet win, as Event #6: €5,000 PLO runner-up Amir Mozaffarian finished 1st to claim his maiden bracelet. He scored multiple knockouts at the final table on his way to victory.
Heading into the final table, Mozaffarian held a middling stack (23 big blinds) while Romanian player Viorel Gavrila held the chip lead (43 big blinds). Mozaffarian scored his first knockout at the final table, sending Yehor Shumeiko out in 8th place (€5,175). As the field was whittled down to four, Mozaffarian ended the tournament life of poker legend Shaun Deeb by eliminating him in 4th (€18,200), denying him his seventh bracelet.
He then sent Viorel Gavrila to the rail, as Gavrila’s J♥-4♥ was unable to withstand Amir Mozaffarian’s A♦-6♥. Viorel Gavrila received €36,750 for his 3rd-place finish. Heading into heads-up play, Mozaffarian held an 8:1 chip lead against Paco Kaplan.
The final hand saw Mozaffarian shove from the button with K♦-6♠, and Kaplan called for his tournament life with Q♦-5♦. The board ran out 8♣-10♠-4♥-J♦-J♥, and Mozaffarian’s hand turned out to be superior. Kaplan collected a payout of €49,550 for his runner-up finish, while Mozaffarian added €69,050 to his earnings and a WSOP bracelet.

2024 WSOP Europe Event #10: €2,000 8-Game Mix Recap
The €2,000 buy-in 8-Game Mix at the 2024 WSOP Europe saw a field of 90 entrants. Only the top 14 players shared the €156,510 prize pool. The event also saw several bracelet winners making it to the money, including Event #6 winner Dennis Weiss (14th), and Ilija Savevski (11th).
The final table was formed on Day 2 with seven players. Jeremy Trojand was the first casualty of the final table. Martin Schamaun knocked out Trojand in 7th (€5,830) after making a straight on the table. Unfortunately, Schamaun couldn’t stay at the table longer, as Bueono found an ace on the board to knock out Martin Schamaun in 6th (€7,290). Bueono then went on to eliminate Sami Bechahed (4th – €13,100) and bracelet winner Anson Tsang (3rd – €18,750).
The final hand came in a 2-7 Triple Draw, where Bueono shipped it, busting Daniel Habl to win the title. Bueono earned €43,400 for his victory and his first WSOP bracelet, while Daniel Habl had to settle for €28,000.
