Poker in India is seeing a surge of young and emerging talents making their mark, and one of the brightest among them is Mumbai’s Harsh Dev Jhirmiria. A true rising star of Indian poker, Harsh Dev has quickly built an impressive poker resume, boasting 44 online titles and several major live scores.

Harsh’s journey began as a poker streamer and he gained recognition for his exciting and insightful streams in no time. Eager to elevate his game, he then turned to YouTube videos and engaged in discussions with pro players. With a new-found confidence, Harsh then started playing on major online poker platforms in 2021 and there has been no looking back since then. This young poker prodigy has won several marquee events, including the IOPC #76 Saturday Prime for INR 4.47 Lakhs and 1000X#20 (6-MAX) Tuesday Prime 30L GTD for INR 4.36 Lakhs – his most prominent online wins.

Building on his grand online success, Harsh then transitioned to live poker in 2023. He made his live debut with an impressive final table score at the WPT Prime India Freezeout in April 2023. However, it was this year that Harsh truly captured the poker world’s attention. In April, he claimed his first major live title at Poker Dream 9 Malaysia by winning the Mystery Bounty for MYR 286,000

The very next month in May, Harsh followed up with another impressive victory at the DPT May 2024 High Roller in Goa. He overcame a star-studded final table featuring some of India’s top poker pros like Kunal Patni, Dhaval Mudgal, Ashish Ahuja, Rishabh Vekaria and Kanchan Sharma to earn the coveted high roller title and a hefty INR 34.30 lakhs, which happens to be his second-biggest live score.

A proud NPS gold medalist and IPC title winner, Harsh most recently showcased his skills at the WPT Cambodia – Passport to the World Championship festival, where he cashed four events, including three final table finishes. His standout performance was in the Megastack Action Clock (Event #17), where he finished runner-up to Vietnam’s Kyle Diep, adding a cool $7,651 to his growing bankroll.
