Day 8 of the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) marked a significant milestone in the series. It was the busiest day so far, with the series crowning four bracelet winners at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The winners included Thibault Perissat, David Prociak, Scott Seiver and Malcolm Trayner.
Thibault Perissat Turns Birthday Gift Into Victory In Event #14: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty
The most recent events to conclude at the World Series of Poker was Event #14: $1,000 Super Bounty Turbo where France’s Thibault Perissat turned a birthday gift into a golden victory, earning his first bracelet and $197,308. USA’s Ron Schindelheim placed runner-up, earning an impressive $131,571.
This was the first single-day live event of the ongoing WSOP series and drew 2,639 entries, collecting $2,322,320 in the final prize pool. Perissat, who entered with a birthday gift entry, emerged victorious to claim his maiden gold bracelet. Notably, this marked the 41st WSOP bracelet victory for France.
The top 396 finishers shared the prize pool, with several notables running deep including four-time bracelet winner Joe Cada (54th for $3,662), six-time bracelet winner Josh Arieh (14th for $9,466), Indo-Swiss pro Dinesh Alt (7th for $31,358), & two-time bracelet winner Jesse Yaginuma (4th for $72,115).
Heads-up saw Schindelheim holding a 3:2 lead over Perissat. The tables turned when Perissat’s Q-10 won an all-in against A-10 to take more than a 3:1 lead. The final hand saw Schindelheim shove with Jc 10h and Perissat called with Qh 5h. The board ran out Ks 8c Ad 9h 9c and queen high was enough for Perissat to win the pot and his first bracelet. Schindelheim settled for $131,571 as the runner-up.

David Prociak Clinches Second Bracelet For $129,676 in Event #11:$1,500 Badugi
In a thrilling showdown at Event #11:$1,500 Badugi of WSOP 2024, David Prociak emerged victorious, clinching his second gold bracelet and a handsome $129,676 prize. Prociak, who previously won the WSOP $1,500 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better in 2016, overcame a competitive field of 478 entries.
This event paid out the top 74 finishers from the $650,145 prize pool. The third and final day saw ten players return to the Horseshoe Las Vegas, with Tobias Leknes in the lead and Prociak second in chips.
Several notables cashed out in this tournament, including several bracelet winners like Hanh Tran (16th for $6,548), Kevin Gerhart (13th for $6,548), Jim Collopy (11th for $8,253), Brandon Cantu (6th for $19,330), and Matt Grapenthien (2nd for $84,650).
Heads-up saw Prociak holding over a 5:1 chip lead over Grapenthien. Early action favored Grapenthien, but Prociak was able to pull away again by the time the final hand arrived.
Finally, Prociak raised and then called a three-bet from Matt Grapenthien from the big blind. Grapenthien drew one while Prociak drew two. Grapenthien led with a bet, Prociak raised, and Grapenthien called all-in for 320k. Grapenthien took one and Prociak took two. On the final draw, Grapenthien drew one again and Prociak stood pat.

Prociak made a queen badugi on the second draw and Grapenthien paired to be busted in second place.

Scott Seiver Wins Fifth Bracelet in $10K Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship For $426,744
Scott Seiver added to his poker legacy as he conquered Event #10, the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship at the 2024 World Series of Poker for $426,744 and his fifth gold bracelet.
The high-stakes pro topped a formidable field of 197 elite players, eventually prevailing in a 30-minute heads-up against bracelet winner Jonathan Cohen (2nd for $284,495). He skillfully made his way to victory to join five-time bracelet winners like John Juanda, Benny Glaser and John Monnette.
This prestigious event ran for four grueling days and attracted 197, generating a prize pool of $1,832,100, which was finally shared by the top 30 players. Plenty of notables ran deep, including two-time bracelet winner Tom Koral (18th for for $21,325), seven-time bracelet winner and recent Event #7 winner John Hennigan (17th for $21,325), bracelet winner Naoya Kihara (16th for $21,325), four-time bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (14th for $24,691), bracelet winner John Racener (11th for $29,362), Jake Schwartz (7th for $57,570) & five-time bracelet winner Benny Glaser (6th for $75,678).
Heads-up saw Seiver holding a 3:1 chip advantage over bracelet winner Jonathan Cohen. Seiver extended his lead even further before the final hand was dealt. Finally, he raised from the button with Ah 9d 8s 4d and Cohen called for less than two big blinds with Kd 8d 5h 4s. The board ran out Kc Js Jh 7s 10c, giving Seiver a jack-high straight to win the title. Cohen earned $284,495 as the runner-up

Day 8 of the series also saw Australia’s Malcolm Trayner conquering a record-breaking 18,409-player field in Event #5: $1,000 Mystery Millions. Trayner’s victory earned him his first WSOP bracelet and a career-best $1 Million in prize money.
