The 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise has officially concluded at the Atlantis Bahamas. In this report, we will delve into the victory of Tom Fuchs and Johannes Straver, who picked up their maiden bracelet in Event 13 and Event 12 respectively and also earned career-best paydays.
Tom Fuchs Wins 2024 WSOP Paradise Event #13: $50k NLH High Roller
Thomas Fuchs scored his first live poker victory by winning Event #13: $50k buy-in no-limit hold ’em high roller at the 2024 World Series of Poker Paradise. He took home his first recorded seven-figure score of $1,292,000 and the maiden gold bracelet. With this victory, Fuchs has now brought his live poker tournament earnings past $3 million.
The $50k buy-in High Roller attracted 130 entrants, building up a total prize pool of $6,500,000, which was finally shared by the top 20 finishers. Some notable bracelet winners who made it into the money included the likes of Timothy Adams (20th), Sam Greenwood (19th), Artur Martirosian (17th), Mike Watson (16th), Adrian Mateos (13th), and Daniel Dvoress (12th).
Alex Foxen, who won the $100k Triton Main Event, became the final table bubble, earning $140,250 for his impressive finish. Team India’s Santhosh Suvarna made it into the final table. However, he couldn’t get past the 8th position, adding $209,420 to his earnings. Fedor Holz, fresh off from his podium finish in the $100k Triton Main Event, was the last bracelet holder at the final table. Unfortunately, Holz’s run ended in 6th place for a payday of $352,210.
The heads-up kicked off between Moonho Seo of South Korea and Tom Fuchs of Germany. We saw Fuchs holding a commendable lead, and Seo needed a lot of double-ups to even come close to Fuchs’s stack. Seo soon went all in holding ace-king and Fuchs called, rolling out his pocket fours. The board brought 10c-Ac-4s-8s-5c to give Fuchs a set to seal the victory.
Seo earned a career-best payday of $996,200 for his runner-up finish. Meanwhile, Fuchs celebrated his first bracelet win with his fellow CoinPoker team pro Mario Mosbock and Fedor Holz.
