2024 WSOP Online: Oliver Weis & Mathias Joelsson Shine with Big Scores

The 2024 WSOP Online International has awarded a total of 21 online WSOP bracelets to the winners, with only 12 online bracelets remaining to be claimed. Here is a recap of the latest bracelet winner, Eder Campana, who triumphed in event no.21 to claim his first online bracelet. Along with event no.21, here is a recap of all the previous events’ bracelets winners from Event #16 to Event #21.

Event #16: $215 ‘Beat the Pros’ Bounty NLH Recap

Poland’s yet unidentified player ‘IcePokerGuild’ outlasted the pros to clinch the online bracelet and the top prize of $65,218, along with the highest bounty pot of $52,384. The event drew a staggering field of 7,708 players, including several of GGPoker’s ambassador team. 

Only the top 912 players shared the total prize pool of $1,524,642. Asia’s ‘ShtonrKilla’ from Taiwan finished as the runner-up and collected $82,316, which included a $17,102 bounty pot.

Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker NLH Recap

Event no.17 drew 4,934 entrants, generating a whopping $7,039,950 total prize pool. As the dust settled, Mexican player Dennis Volz emerged victorious, taking the 1st place top prize of $1,287,142 and his first World Series of Poker bracelet.

533 players made it to the money, with the top 8 players receiving a six-figure sum. Volz began the final table as the chip leader and held it to knock out Brazil’s José Eduardo ‘Xerife’ Ferreria in 2nd place. Eduardo collected $914,946 for his runner-up finish.

Event #18: $5,000 Short Deck Championship 3-Stack NLH Recap 

German player Oliver Weis participated in the $5k short deck championship from Poland and topped a field of 92 entries to secure his career first WSOP bracelet and a six-figure sum of $113,950. This year has been great for him as he already made a career high-score of $1,050,978 in EPT Paris event no.35, and has now added a WSOP bracelet to his name. 

The 92 entries created a total prize pool of $437,000 that was paid to the ITM players. Thomas Mikucinski collected $84,532, and Poland’s Marcin Barwinski, who played from Brazil, collected $62,709.

Event 19: $777 ‘Lucky Sevens’ Bounty 7-Handed NLH Recap

Norway’s ‘Eurofold’ captured the WSOP Online bracelet in Event no.19 $777 Bounty 7 Handed and a 1st place cash prize of $159,328 ($87,216 + $72,111 bounty). The event drew 2,116 entries, building up a total prize pool of $1,561,925. 

Eurofold completely dominated the field, scooping the top bounty pot of $72,211 to his cash prize. Eurofold ended Brazil’s Emanuel Oliveira in runner-up ($114,940). China’s Bio Guo finished in 3rd place to claim $74,754.

Event #20: $1,000 Double Stack NLH 2-Stack Recap 

Brazil’s live poker pro Eder Campana captured his first WSOP bracelet in the 2024 WSOP Online International. He defeated Sweden’s Mathias Joelsson in the heads-up battle to earn the 1st place $160,051 prize. 

The event drew 1,288 entrants and created a total prize pool of $1,233,600, paid to 15% of the field. Mathias Joelsson collected $123,415, and also made it to the final table of event no.19.

Event #21: $1,500 WSOP GGMasters High Roller Freezeout Recap 

Vietnam’s ‘junosunny’ won the Event no.21 GGMasters High Roller to score the first online bracelet from the Asian continent. With this victory, he confirmed a $50,000 GTD freeroll for Vietnamese players.

The event drew an entry field of 1,408 players, creating a massive $2,006,400 prize pool that was paid to the ITM players, while the top 5 finishers confirmed a six-figure sum. Russia’s H[@]PPY ended as the runner-up and took the $244,124 prize.
