History has been made at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) with the main event officially becoming the largest ever in the 55-year history of WSOP. The prestigious tournament has attracted a record 10,112 players, surpassing last year’s record of 10,043 entries and becoming the largest main event. The staggering turnout of players has resulted in a $94,041,600, the largest prize pool in history, which makes it the richest ever tournament in the world of poker.

Only top 1,517 finishers earn a piece of the prize pool, with a min cash worth $15,000. The eventual champion of this historic event will walk away with $10,000,000. In addition to the top prize money, the champion will take home the coveted 2024 WSOP championship bracelet, which was revealed at the start of Day 2D session  on Monday by Jack Binion, a celebrated visionary behind WSOP.

This marks the fifth time that a WSOP Main Event champion will take home an eight-figure score, $10,000,000. The biggest first-place prize in this event was awarded to Daniel Weinman in 2023. The second biggest first-place prize went to Jamie Gold who won $12,000,000 in 2006.

The final nine finishers of the WSOP 2024 Main Event will earn at least seven-figure paydays, with the runner-up and the third-place finisher taking home a whopping $6 million and $4 million, respectively.
