The biggest story of the summer at World Series of Poker (WSOP)2024 was that of Scot Seiver. The 39-year-old Las Vegas poker pro took the poker world by storm, winning three bracelets in a single series and clinching the WSOP Player of the Year title. His victories at the series included winning the $10K Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, the $1.5K Razz and the $10K NL 2-7 Lowball Championship, showcasing his versatility across poker variants and making him the only player to win 3 bracelets in 2024.

He not only scored three bracelet victories but also notched up two more final table finishes and several cashes, amassing a hefty $1,449,736 from the series and winning the WSOP Player of the Year title. With $1,449,736 in total earnings from the series, he cemented his place as a living legend.

Alejandro Lococo’s Record $12 Million Win at WSOP Paradise 2024

Argentine rapper Alejandro Lococo etched his name in history by taking down the $500K Triton Million at the recently concluded World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise. The victory earned him a career-best $12.07 million – the biggest prize in a live tournament in 2024. With the victory, he became the first player in history to win both a Triton trophy and a WSOP bracelet. That is not all, the victory also propelled him to #2 Argentina’s all-time money list, boosting his live earnings to more than $14.9 million.

Jonathan Tamayo Wins Record-Breaking 2024 WSOP Main Event

Jonathan Tamayo, a 38-year-old poker pro from Humble, Texas, etched his name in poker history by winning the poker’s most prestigious title of 2024. He overcame a record field of 10,112 entries in the WSOP 2024 Main Event to win his maiden bracelet and a career-best $10 million from a $94,041,600 prize pool. His victory went down in history books as the second-largest top prize in a tournament for 2024. His live earnings soared to $12.3 million, propelling him to #2  in Texas, USA All Time Money List.

Nishant Sharma’s Hat Trick of Poker Dream Main Event Titles

Indian poker pro Nishant Sharma stunned the poker world by achieving three consecutive main event victories. He became not only the first player in poker history to achieve this incredible feat but also highlighted the growing prominence of Indian poker players on the international felts.

Sharma first won the Poker Dream 10 Main Event for $148,283 and followed that victory up with his Main Event wins at Poker Dream 11 and 13, earning him $183,517 and $208,326 respectively. Apart from the main event win at Poker Dream 13 Malaysia, he won two more events and recorded cash finishes, amassing MR 1.285 Billion (INR 2.43 Crores.) from Poker Dream 13 and pushing him to #8 on India’s All-Time Money List.

Liv Boeree Makes History with Largest Female Cash Prize

Returning to live poker after a few years, Liv Boeree created history at the 2024 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event. The former WSOP bracelet winner made waves at the WSOP Paradise 2024 edition. She finished fourth in the record-breaking $50 million GTD WSOP Paradise Super Main Event, earning $2.8 million—the largest cash prize ever won by a female poker player in a live tournament. This landmark feat pushed her to fourth place on the women’s all-time money list, overtaking popular pro Maria Ho, the former fourth-place holder in Women’s all-time money list.

Moritz Dietrich’s $4.02 Million Milestone at WSOP Online 2024

Germany’s Moritz Dietrich set the virtual felts ablaze. He took down the GGPoker’s record-breaking WSOP Online Main Event after outlasting a record field of 6,146 entries to win $4.02 million – the largest prize in online poker history. The historic win not only earned him his first-ever WSOP bracelet but also hinted at the huge potential of the online poker landscape.
