Who is Nguyen Quang Minh?

Nguyen Quang Minh is a professional poker player from Vietnam. He rose to prominence following his stunning victory at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei 2025, where he conquered the APT Super High Roller event to claim a life-changing $284,905. Not only did he secure his first-ever APT title, but this win also cemented his status as one of Vietnam’s rising stars in the poker world.

Minh Quang’s Poker Career Highlights and Winnings

Quang’s first recorded live tournament cash came in 2022, when he finished 14th in the Grand Loyal Poker Cup, earning just $196. However, he quickly began making a name for himself. Later that year, he finished third in the APT Warm-Up Series Super High Roller, taking home $7,252. He then impressed again by finishing fourth in the 2022 WPT Prime Vietnam Main Event, cashing for an impressive $48,034.

His momentum continued in 2023, where he secured a third-place finish in the World Poker Championship SEAPT Hanoi Main Event, banking $60,929. That same year, he made a few additional cashes, including a $2,400 payday in the APT Hanoi Billions Main Event.

In 2024, Quang cashed in two notable events: he finished fifth in the VPL Hanoi Last Chance High Roller for $4,450, and also picked up $468 in the Vietnam International Poker Tour Hanoi Kick-Off Event.

Before his breakthrough victory in Taipei, Quang had already accumulated over $140,000 in live tournament earnings across 17 cashes. With his recent Super High Roller title, his total live earnings have now soared to over $500,000.

Nguyen Quang Minh’s journey from small cashes to winning one of the biggest high-stakes titles in Asia is a testament to his dedication and skill. As he continues to rise through the ranks, Quang is not only building an impressive resume but also helping put Vietnamese poker on the map.
