Renowned poker pro and coach Abhishek Goindi has been on an impressive run in 2024, showcasing his exceptional skills and tenacity on the global poker stage. After a string of strong performances at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2024, the PokerBaazi Team Pro clinched a remarkable victory in Event #66: $1,100 NLH UltimateStack at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas last month, outplaying a field of 571 entries to claim the coveted title and a hefty prize of $92,264 (approximately INR 77 Lakh).

Riding the momentum of his Las Vegas success, Goindi flew to Vietnam, where he continued his hot streak in Vietnam. On August 3, 2024, he emerged victorious in the 1 billion VND GTD Hot Saturday at Crown Poker Club, securing his second live poker title of 2024. He overcame a strong field of 125 entries in the buy-in of 8.8 million VND tournament, taking home over $7.2K. He proudly shared his latest victory on social media, showcasing his winning hand of As 2c. This not only marked his back-to-back win but also solidified his reputation as a formidable player on the global stage.
A Journey of Excellence
Goindi’s poker journey began in 2010 at the Indian Poker Championship (IPC) in Goa, where he made a notable 6th-place finish in a No Limit Hold’em event, earning $2,579 for his efforts. Since then, Goindi has consistently demonstrated his prowess, winning several titles and posting deep runs in prestigious live events. His career highlights include a remarkable $136,244 cash prize for his second-place finish in the HK$10,120 + 880 No Limit Hold’em – Red Dragon Event at the Macau Poker Cup in 2012, his best live cash to date. With the latest victory, Goindi took his live tournament earnings to $446K.
